Vocational Program - Student Activities

To Use Things Learned to Give Back to Society

For the past two years, there has been an increase of high school and vocational school students through Fu Hui sponsorship. It has become a major concern for Fu Hui to provide guidance to students to care about society and spread kindness. This will also enable those who are studying nursing and early childhood education to gain more experience. Recently, we have been giving them opportunities to volunteer. Students visited senior homes, giving the elderly entertainment and presents. They also participated in a national charitable event for the disabled, helping them to sell their handicrafts, interacted with the children through games, and performed songs and dances during the event. Through community work, students demonstrated their passion and positive attitudes.

Here is a feedback from Jimumoziza, a Fu Hui student,

“There is always such familiarity on the kind faces of these seniors. They are like my own grandparents. Their warm welcomes have given us the biggest encouragement. Even though they are in their senior years, they are young at heart and long for a beautiful life. They love to have fun with us and to receive happiness as presents. Our vitality moves their hearts. Our youth uncovers their memories. In such warm and loving environment, we danced with our young lives and flew in our singing, and they thanked us with their loud applause. Fu Hui students performed beautiful dances and wonderful Yi songs and performed a play called “Father”, which moved everyone to tears. The seniors also performed what they knew the best and showed us their youthfulness. They love this kind of gatherings and this kind of laughter. They never hide their feelings and express their emotions truthfully”
