2018 Volunteer Appreciation Party

On February 25 2018, Fu Hui hosted the 2018 Volunteer Appreciation Gathering.  It was attended by over seventy volunteers and directors who celebrated another successful year of commitment to the empowerment of youth.  Mr. Stanley Kwan, Chair of Fu Hui  kicked off the event by outlining Fu Hui’s values.  Vice President  Mr. Michael Ma provided a detailed update Fu Hui’s current status and progress in China.

This gathering provided a unique forum for the volunteers to mingle and share experiences amid an atmosphere of fun and games as well as celebrate and be recognized for the immense impact they have on their communities in Canada and China.  The thousands of students who directly benefited from the education programs would not be possible without the wholehearted dedication of volunteers.  Thank you to all the volunteers and let's continue our amazing work in 2018.

As a footnote, in her address to the group, President Judy San shared the sombre information of the passing of one of our dedicated volunteers Mrs. Winnie Chan who had willed the proceeds of the donations from her funeral to Fu Hui.  As a result, various Board members have also contributed to set up an endowment fund under her name.
